More Than a Blanket

I created Boston Blankets because I wanted to make something that helped people slow down and feel cared for.

In a world that moves quickly, comfort matters.

Boston Blankets is the sister brand of Inner Peace Insight, where these blankets began as “Wrapped in Intention.” Each one is worked on a hand loom, entirely by hand — no needles, no hooks, no machines.

One color, one style is one flat fee per size: Baby 30×40 inches — $70, Lap 30×50 inches — $90, Throw 50×60 inches — $120, Full 54×75 inches — $180. More colors or a different style is quoted by me, up to $90 / $115 / $150 / $240 by size. Taxes and shipping are not included. Want flowers on your blanket? Can I choose my colors?

Yes — that's the joy of made-to-order. Tell me the colors you're hoping for, and I'll confirm what's available before your blanket is started.

How long does a blanket take?

Every blanket is made by hand, one at a time, so timing depends on the size and the orders ahead of yours. I'll give you an honest estimate when you order.

How do I care for a chunky blanket?

Spot clean when you can; if it needs a wash, use cold water on a gentle cycle and lay it flat to dry. Care details come with every blanket.

What does “made with intention” mean?

Before the first stitch, I set a simple intention for the blanket and the person receiving it — comfort, calm, celebration, healing. It comes from my sister brand, Inner Peace Insight, and it's at the heart of every blanket I make.

How are the blankets made — by hand, or on a machine?

Entirely by hand — each blanket is worked on a hand loom, the chunky yarn looped and guided stitch by stitch. No needles, no hooks, no machines.
